Ο Μπάιντεν καταδικάζει την «ελεεινή» επίθεση της Ρωσίας στην Πολτάβα της Ουκρανίας

Ο αμερικανός πρόεδρος Τζο Μπάιντεν καταδίκασε χθες Τρίτη «με τον πλέον έντονο τρόπο» τον «ελεεινό» βομβαρδισμό των ενόπλων δυνάμεων της Ρωσίας στην πόλη Πολτάβα της κεντρικής Ουκρανίας χθες, που είχε αποτέλεσμα να χάσουν τη ζωή τους τουλάχιστον 51 άνθρωποι και να τραυματιστούν άλλοι 271, κατά τον πιο πρόσφατο απολογισμό του Κιέβου.

«Η επίθεση αυτή αποτελεί τραγική υπενθύμιση των συνεχιζόμενων και εξοργιστικών προσπαθειών του (προέδρου της Ρωσίας Βλαντίμιρ) Πούτιν να τσακίσει τη θέληση ενός ελεύθερου λαού», ανέφερε ο κ. Μπάιντεν, σύμφωνα με ανακοίνωση Τύπου που δημοσιοποίησαν οι υπηρεσίες του στον Λευκό Οίκο. Ο πρόεδρος των ΗΠΑ διαβεβαίωσε ότι η κυβέρνησή του «θα συνεχίσει» να υποστηρίζει την Ουκρανία, παρέχοντάς της ιδίως «συστήματα αντιαεροπορικής άμυνας και δυνατότητες που χρειάζεται» για την άμυνά της.
